Our Research Models

Reduce development time, save money and reduce mice use in drug development.

The problem

The journey from drug discovery to human trials is filled with challenges, with the preclinical stage playing a critical role in determining whether a drug candidate advances to clinical trials. Currently, many promising compounds fail during this phase, often due to significant differences in drug metabolism between animals and man leading to discrepancies in preclinical safety and efficacy.

Similarly, compounds progressed to clinical phases frequently fail to mirror the positive results seen in preclinical studies because in vitro studies do not accurately predict what happens in the clinic. This results in a high percentage of these compounds not making it to market. The combined failure rates correspond to significant amounts of wasted costs, time, and resources which could have been dedicated to other promising compounds.

Our solution

At PhaSER, we have developed an advanced transgenic mouse model that more accurately reflects human drug metabolism. Through the replacement of key mouse metabolic enzymes and transcription factors with their human counterparts, our innovative platform provides a more predictive and reliable assessment of drug pharmacokinetics, efficacy and safety - helping you make more informed decisions and improve the likelihood of clinical success. The 8HUM mice could replace wild type mice in all aspects of Drug Discovery and Development.

Discover how our cutting-edge technology can optimise your drug development pipeline.

8HUM

Revolutionizing drug
metabolism research

Unlock more predictive, human-relevant data with our cutting-edge transgenic mouse model. We've replaced 33 murine P450 enzymes, along with transcription factors CAR and PXR, with their human counterparts.

This advanced model delivers unparalleled accuracy in studying drug metabolism, toxicity, and disposition—helping you make smarter, faster decisions in drug development.

8HUM/Rag2

Advancing xenograft research
with an immunodeficient model

The 8HUM_Rag2 -/- Mouse Model is a powerful tool for xenograft studies, providing an immunodeficient platform ideal for studying human tumors and therapies.

Engineered to lack T and B cells, this model allows for efficient engraftment and study of human tissues, cells, and tumours - providing users with a highly clinically relevant system for oncology studies. In Oncology, it can aid the design of clinical trials in combination therapy.

CypC4KO

Unlock deeper insights
into drug toxicity

The CypC4KO Mouse Model is the ideal choice for giving you clearer answers on the safety considerations of your drug candidate.

With 33 cytochrome P450 enzymes, key players in drug metabolism, completely deleted across all tissues, this model helps pinpoint whether observed toxicity is P450-mediated.
